The core workflow dictates how a data analyst operates day-to-day:

Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with business teams to define KPIs and understand their information needs.

Data Collection: Extracting raw data from primary or secondary sources using tools like SQL or Python.

Data Cleaning: Filtering and removing duplicates, errors, and outliers to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Data Modeling & Analysis: Performing statistical techniques to identify patterns, correlations, and trends.

Data Visualization: Building automated dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Reporting & Presentation: Communicating actionable insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Database Management: Designing, updating, and maintaining databases.

Performance Monitoring: Tracking metrics and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business health.

System Optimization: Troubleshooting database environments and locating process improvement opportunities.

Querying & Programming: SQL, Python, or R.

Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Spreadsheets: Advanced use of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
