Job Overview
- Strategic Supplier Management: Identify, select, and manage strategic suppliers for new product introductions (NPI) and ongoing needs, aligning with Wipro's goals.
- Cost & Value Optimization: Drive cost-down initiatives, negotiate contracts, and find innovative ways to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Lifecycle Integration: Act as a link between Product Development and Operations, managing sourcing for all product stages (NPI, obsolescence).
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks in partnership with business and supply chain teams.
- Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Finance, and Operations to ensure sourcing strategies support product specifications, quality, and compliance (e.g., FDA, EHS).
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze supplier capabilities, and develop long-term sourcing strategies.
- Strategic Sourcing: Beyond immediate needs, focusing on long-term supplier development and partnerships.
- Data & Analysis: Using quantitative analysis for spend, market research, and business cases.
- Project Management: Leading sourcing deliverables for new programs.
- Supplier Development: Investing in supplier capabilities and exploring regional opportunities.
