- Create 2D drawings, 3D models, schematics, and technical documentation (like BOMs).
- Translate rough sketches, engineering notes, and concepts into precise digital formats.
- Collaborate with engineers, production, and cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
- Incorporate feedback from design reviews and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, tolerances (GD&T), and project specifications.
- Manage drawing revisions, file organization, and project documentation.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), understanding of mechanical principles, GD&T, dimensioning, and manufacturing processes.
- Software: AutoCAD; familiarity with other CAD tools like SolidWorks or Inventor is a plus.
- Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering/Drafting.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, precision, strong problem-solving, good communication, and teamwork.
- Conceptualize: Turn ideas into detailed visuals for machinery, tooling, or equipment.
- Document: Produce clear, coded drawings for production, including materials, dimensions, and assembly instructions.
