Java Developer (Fresher) – Job Description (180 Words)

We are looking for a motivated Java Developer (Fresher) to join our software development team and support the design, development, and maintenance of Java‑based applications. The candidate will work under the guidance of senior developers and gain hands‑on experience across the complete software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient Java code, assisting in developing web and enterprise applications, debugging and fixing issues, and participating in code reviews. You will help in integrating APIs, working with databases, and ensuring application performance, security, and scalability. Learning and applying best coding practices, frameworks, and development tools will be an important part of the role.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java, object‑oriented programming, data structures, and basic algorithms. Familiarity with SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate is an added advantage. Knowledge of version control systems like Git and basic understanding of SDLC concepts is preferred. Good problem‑solving skills, eagerness to learn, teamwork, and effective communication are essential to grow and succeed in this role.
