Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Automation Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of hands-on experience in automation testing, specifically utilizing Selenium WebDriver with Java. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications.Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Collaborate with development and manual QA teams to identify and prioritize test cases for automation.
• Participate in the design and implementation of automation frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing of web applications.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them accurately in a defect tracking system.
• Support the integration of automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automation testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of experience in automation testing with a focus on Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Proficiency in Java programming language, including object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber).
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Familiarity with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of API testing concepts and tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured
