Job Overview

A Cashier at The Chennai Mobiles is responsible for managing customer billing transactions and providing high-quality service at the checkout counter. The role focuses on ensuring accurate payment processing across various modes, including cash, cards, and digital wallets.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Management: Operate cash registers and scanners to scan products and bill customers accurately.
• Payment Processing: Accept payments via cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and digital wallets while issuing accurate invoices and receipts.
• Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries regarding product prices, ongoing promotions, and discounts.
• Cash Reconciliation: Handle the cash drawer, count money, and ensure there are no billing discrepancies by tallying funds at the end of each shift.
• Returns and Exchanges: Process refunds, exchanges, and resolve customer complaints effectively according to store protocols.
• Operational Support: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, assist in stock management, and inform customers about loyalty programs.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education: Any Graduate or Post Graduate or equivalent is typically required; some positions may prefer any graduate degree.

Skills: Must possess strong numerical and basic math skills for accurate change-making and billing.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills are required to handle a fast-paced retail environment and various customer needs.

Flexibility: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
