Network Support Engineer

Job Overview

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and local network issues remotely or on-site to minimize downtime.
• Monitor continuous network performance, bandwidth usage, and general health to identify and fix bottlenecks proactively.
• Configure, maintain, and upgrade core network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Enforce network security protocols, implement VPN solutions, and update antivirus and firewall systems to safeguard company data.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, network passwords, and system directory structures.
• Coordinate and escalate unresolved, complex IT faults with senior level (L3) engineering teams or internet service providers (ISPs).
• Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, troubleshooting procedures, and system inventory changes.
• Assist in rolling out new IT infrastructure projects, office network migrations, and hardware/software installations.
• Provide end-user technical support, train staff on new IT systems, and respond to IT service desk tickets.
• Conduct routine system backups, disaster recovery tests, and software patch implementations.Manage IP traffic, DNS, and DHCP configuration settings for smooth local (LAN) and wide area (WAN) network communication.
