Fresher Test Engineer – Job Description

Assist in designing, developing, and executing test cases and test plans

Perform manual and basic automated testing to ensure software quality

Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools

Work closely with developers to resolve issues and verify fixes

Understand project requirements and translate them into test scenarios

Execute functional, regression, and integration testing as required

Maintain detailed test documentation and reports for analysis

Ensure applications meet quality, performance, and usability standards

Participate in team meetings and contribute to product improvements

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies

Familiarity with SDLC and STLC processes

Understanding of manual testing and basic automation tools

Knowledge of programming basics is an added advantage

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and teamwork abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
