Roles and Responsibilities: -

• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document requirements and changes.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Other duties as assigned.
• Strong experience with stored procedures, triggers, Linked DB servers
• Experience in application development is must.
• Prior experience with Data Migration, Re-platforming or DB upgrade projects.
• Knowledge in web services and message services are nice to have.
• Expert in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts.
• Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
• Experience with backups, restores and recover models.
• Experience working with small teams, with individual project responsibility.
• Ability to think strategically and abstractly.
• Detail-oriented project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete multiple projects and meet deadlines
