Job Summary
- Production Support: Monitor system s, resolve job failures, manage batch processes (EOD/BOD), and handle user requests for core banking or ERP systems.
- Incident & Problem Management: Act as L1/L2/L3 support, logging, tracking, and escalating issues using tools like Jira or ServiceNow.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Debug COBOL/400 programs, analyze system errors, and resolve issues using CL commands, DB2/400, and Query/400.
- System Administration: Manage user profiles, access controls, message queues, and ensure reliable operation of the AS400 environment.
- Change Management: Support deployments and coordinate fixes with development teams.
- Documentation & Mentoring: Document root causes, preventive actions, and provide knowledge sharing.
- Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Technical: Strong AS400 OS, CL (Control Language), DB2/400, COBOL/400, RPG, Job Management, Backup & Recovery (BRMS).
- Tools: Experience with ITSM tools (Jira, ServiceNow) and change management systems.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with ITIL, Agile/Scrum.
- Soft Skills: Analytical, self-motivated, strong communication, customer-focused, and ability to work in 24/7 shifts.
