Job Overview

Incoming material inspection (raw materials, billets, bars).
v In-process inspection during forging, heat treatment, and machining.
v Final inspection of forged components as per drawings and specifications.
v Dimensional inspection using gauges, vernier, micrometer, and measuring instruments.
v Visual inspection for surface defects, cracks, laps, and scale.
v Heat treatment and hardness testing verification.
v Quality documentation and inspection record maintenance.
v Control of non-conforming products and rejection handling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
v Inspect incoming raw materials and verify material test certificates (MTCs).
v Perform in-process inspections during forging, heat treatment, and machining operations.
v Conduct final inspection of forged components as per drawings, control plans, and customer specifications.
v Carry out dimensional inspections using measuring instruments.
v Check surface finish and identify forging defects such as cracks, laps, underfills, and scale marks.
v Monitor and verify heat treatment parameters and hardness test results.
v Coordinate and verify Non-Destructive Testing (UT, MT, PT) as per customer requirements.
v Identify non-conforming products, raise NCRs, and ensure proper segregation and disposition.
