Automation Engineer (PLC Programmer)

Responsibilities

● Meeting and knowing the client's requirements for electrical and mechanical needs.

● Reading and interpreting the logical flow diagram.

● Explaining to the clients how electrical components operate.

● Using automation software to write PLC programs.

● Preparing documents to instruct the users how to use the device and other safety instructions.

● Testing the program using automation equipment for its reliability.

● Troubleshooting any faults in the system.

● Supervising the installation of PLC programs.

● Providing guidance and support to the Technicians.

● Offering training to the Technicians and other team members.

● Maintaining the PLC programs.

● Working in coordination with the Engineering and Production team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related degree.

● Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software principles.

● Extensive knowledge of PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, sequential function charts, etc. ● Exceptional logic reasoning abilities.

● Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

● Excellent ability to work under no supervision.

● Good oral and written communication skills.

● Willingness to travel as and when required.

● Ability to solve complex problems.

● Good organizational and time management skills.

● Excellent mathematics and arithmetic skills.

● A keen eye for details for accuracy.

● Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
