      A Housekeeping Staff member is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of assigned areas to ensure a safe, neat, and pleasant environment for guests, employees, and visitors. The role includes cleaning rooms, common areas, washrooms, and handling housekeeping equipment and supplies efficiently.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Clean and maintain rooms, offices, washrooms, corridors, lobbies, and common areas.
      • Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces regularly.
      • Change bed linens, towels, curtains, and other housekeeping items when required.
      • Refill toiletries, cleaning supplies, and room amenities.
      • Dispose of waste and maintain proper garbage segregation practices.
      • Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors.
      • Operate housekeeping tools and cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
      • Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
      • Assist in inventory management of housekeeping materials and supplies.
      • Respond politely and professionally to guest or customer requests.
      • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within the scheduled time.
      • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.

      Required Skills & Qualifications

      • Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and housekeeping practices.
      • Ability to use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
      • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
      • Attention to detail and time management skills.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Minimum education: High School / SSC preferred.
      • Prior housekeeping experience is an advantage.

      Working Conditions

      • May require standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
      • Flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, or night duties may be required.
      • Work may be performed in hotels, hospitals, offices, residential buildings, or commercial establishments.
