Primary job responsibilities:

• Work closely with analysts to transform designs into application software. Responsible for coding applications software in its Oracle PL SQL technical area. 
• Execute unit test to ensure all business rules in the developed software. Deliver good quality programs to the analyst for string/integration testing. 
• Work with analysts to understand business requirements and scope, mapping these requirements to the proper technical solution. Apply experience and knowledge of different development options to evaluate multiple alternatives and determine the optimal technical solution for Medline. 
• Understand the development framework, application architecture and technical architecture to create solutions that fit in to the overall system landscape.
• Consider long-term data storage needs, performance of the application and restart/recovery factors during the design and development process. 
• Develop program code with consideration of future reuse of newly developed code, modularizing and documenting appropriately. 
• Follow departmental and team standards as they apply to source code control and transport management.
• Debug code in technical area of expertise for functional and performance issues. 
• Display an understanding of debugging techniques when investigating issues with programs.
• Available as on-call support, on limited occasions, during non-working hours as per team support schedule and for supporting critical deployments.
• Consider data sensitivity and process control to determine security and user authorization impacts. Work with manager and with corporate auditing to ensure that access to systems and data are authorized only to the proper people.

 

Required Skills / Experience:

 

• Good overall academic credentials in BE/ B. Tech course or similar course and expected to pass out in 2023
• Good grasp of Database management concepts,
• Experience with SQL and PL SQL
• Writing simple PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers
• Basic Knowledge of Data Modelling
• Should possess basic Unix knowledge to be able to write and understand basic shell scripts and basic Unix commands
• High learning agility. Position will often require learning new areas of business and complex existing code.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills

 

Good to have Skills:

 

• Certified with Oracle 10G/11G/12C.
• Knowledgeof ETL tool – Talend, Informatica
• Knowledge of any job scheduler
