Job Description: Production Manager (Dermatology Laboratory - Serum
Production)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced/Fresher and highly organized Production
Manager to oversee the serum production operations in our
Dermatology Laboratory. As the Production Manager, you will be
responsible for managing the entire production process, ensuring
efficient and high-quality manufacturing of dermatological serums. You
will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards,
optimizing production efficiency, and driving continuous improvement
initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Coordination:
- Develop production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet the
demand for dermatological serums.
- Coordinate production activities, ensuring timely execution of
manufacturing processes and adherence to production timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as R&D, Quality
Assurance, and Supply Chain, to align production requirements with
overall business objectives.
2. Process Optimization and Quality Assurance:
- Implement and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for
serum production, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and
regulatory guidelines.
- Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance
efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production cycle, conduct
regular inspections, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance
with applicable regulations, standards, and documentation
requirements.
3. Resource Management:
- Manage and optimize resources, including personnel, equipment, and
raw materials, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Hire, train, and supervise production staff, providing leadership,
coaching, and performance feedback.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to
occupational health and safety regulations.
4. Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels, forecasting, and procurement of raw
materials and production supplies to support uninterrupted serum
production.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to manage supplier
relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and
productivity enhancement, implementing relevant improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze production data,
and prepare reports on production performance, identifying areas for
improvement and corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biotechnology,
Biochemistry, Chemistry) is required. Pharm D graduation is preferred.
- Proven experience (1+ years) in a production management role within
a laboratory or manufacturing setting, preferably in the pharmaceutical
or skincare industry.
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and
regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical products.
- Experience in dermatological product manufacturing or serum
production is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of production planning, inventory management,
and resource allocation principles.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft
Office Suite.
