Job Overview

A packer is responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling products for shipment while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in warehouse or production environments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Packers perform a variety of tasks to ensure products are ready for shipment or distribution. Core responsibilities include:

• Inspecting Products: Checking items for defects or damage before packaging to maintain quality standards. 

   

   

• Selecting Packaging Materials: Choosing appropriate materials to protect items during transit. 

   

   

• Assembling and Securing Packages: Efficiently packing items into boxes, containers, or pallets, ensuring they are stable and safe for transport. 

   

   

• Labeling Packages: Accurately labeling products with necessary information such as product details, destination, and handling instructions. 

   

   

• Maintaining Records: Recording orders, tracking inventory, and updating shipment databases. 

   

   

• Quality Control: Performing checks to ensure items are correctly packed and meet company standards. 

   

   

• Workplace Maintenance: Keeping the packing area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
