Network & Desktop Support Engineer – Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Network & Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance, maintain IT infrastructure, and ensure smooth functioning of desktop systems and network operations. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, customer-service orientation, and hands-on experience with hardware, software, and network environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first‑ and second‑level support for desktop systems, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and security patches.
Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and network access.
Support LAN/WAN operations, network devices, and connectivity issues.
Monitor system performance and escalate critical issues to relevant teams.
Maintain documentation for IT assets, configurations, and support processes.
Assist in deploying new systems, upgrades, and technology rollouts.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with antivirus tools, remote support tools, and hardware diagnostics.
Good communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑handling skills.
Certifications like CCNA, A+, or ITIL (preferred but not mandatory).
