Job Role - Junior Data Engineer (0–2 Years)

 

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Hybrid)

 

About the Role:

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join a high-impact global project for one of the largest cargo airline groups. You will play a key role in building a modern Data Lakehouse platform using cutting-edge cloud and data technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, cloud platforms, and analytics systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT)

Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and analysis

Integrate data from databases, APIs, files, and third-party systems

Contribute to data warehouse and data lake architecture development.

Ensure data quality, validation, and reliability across systems.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipeline performance.

Collaborate with analytics and AI teams to deliver clean, model-ready datasets.

Document data workflows, pipelines, and system architecture.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field

0–2 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related domain.

Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.

Understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.

Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse concepts.

Basic programming knowledge in Python.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

 

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Experience with cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP.

Familiarity with ETL/Data tools: Talend, Airflow, dbt, Informatica.

Understanding of Data Lakes and modern data architectures.

Exposure to REST APIs and JSON data handling.

Knowledge of Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).

AI / ML Exposure (Plus)

Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts

Experience working with large datasets for analytics or ML.

Familiarity with Python libraries like Pandas and NumPy.

Knowledge of data preparation and feature engineering.
