Design Engineer

Job Overview

Develop and design 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks based on project specifications and requirements.

Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and product documentation for manufacturing and assembly.

Conduct design analysis (e.g., stress, thermal, and fluid flow simulations) to validate product performance and reliability.

Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues, providing solutions and improvements.

Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure proper materials and components are used.

Participate in product testing, validation, and modification based on feedback and testing results.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in product design.

Assist in product prototyping, testing, and iteration to refine designs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

2+ years of experience using SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed part drawings.

Solid understanding of CAD principles, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T).

Experience with engineering simulations, including structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis (using tools like SolidWorks Simulation).

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Familiarity with PDM (Product Data Management) systems and version control is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in metal fabrication, injection molding, or sheet metal design.

Knowledge of FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) or similar methodologies.

Proficiency in other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor) is a plus.

Project management experience is a bonus.
