C# Backend with Azure SQL Database

Job Overview

Role Overview

We’re looking for a C# Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend

services using C# on the .NET platform and an Azure SQL Database Developer to design, build,

optimize, and maintain cloud-based databases on Azure SQL Database. You’ll partner with

product teams to deliver secure, high-performance data solutions at a scale.

Responsibilities

 Build RESTful APIs and backend services with ASP.NET

 Design and develop schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions in T-SQL

 Optimize queries and improve performance (indexes, execution plans, partitioning)

 Implement data security (RBAC, encryption, auditing, masking)

 Implement authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT)

 Write clean, testable, and maintainable code

 Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems

 Build and maintain data pipelines with Azure Data Factory

 Support CI/CD pipelines for database deployments using Azure DevOps or GitHub

Actions

 Monitor and troubleshoot production issues using Azure Monitor and Query Store

Required Skills

 Strong experience with C# and .NET

 Hands-on with ASP.NET (Web APIs, middleware)

 Solid understanding of REST, HTTP, and API design best practices

 Strong experience with Azure SQL Database and Microsoft SQL Server

 Advanced T-SQL (query tuning, indexing strategies)

 Database design (normalization, transactional vs analytical workloads)

 Performance tuning C troubleshooting

 Backup, restore, HA/DR concepts (geo-replication, failover groups)

 Security best practices (private endpoints, encryption at rest/in transit)

 Familiarity with containerization using Docker

Nice-to-Have

 Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics

 Data modeling for analytics C reporting
