Job Overview
We are looking for a smart, self-driven engineer with a manufacturing or mechanical background who understands how engineering and product development processes work within manufacturing companies. While prior knowledge of PLM tools like Autodesk Fusion Manage, Vault, or Upchain is not mandatory, the ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of industry processes and a passion for learning digital systems that enable them. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
1. PLM - PDM Consultancy
Understand, map, and document product development and manufacturing processes such as:
- Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management
- Engineering Change Management
- Document/Data control and versioning
- Item and part lifecycle tracking
- Product release and approvals
2. System Support & Collaboration
- Collaboration between design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Work closely with the implementation team to configure PLM workflows and data models based on real-world manufacturing practices.
- Support the deployment and user onboarding for Autodesk PLM tools (Fusion Manage, Vault, Upchain).
- Learn PLM/PDM tool capabilities and configurations with minimal supervision and apply them to real use cases.
- Create documentation, training guides, and support materials for internal and client use.
3. Integration (Nice to have)
- Design and implement bi-directional integration between PLM/PDM and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
- Map and synchronize items, BOMs, documents, ECOs, and materials.
- Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, BAPIs, IDocs, middleware (Boomi/MuleSoft), or file-based methods.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering./ any computer management
- 0-1 years of experience in a PLM implementation , manufacturing or engineering domain.
- Solid understanding of how products are developed, revised, and released in manufacturing companies.
- Aptitude to learn new tools quickly and systems independently.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have:
- Programming: C# (.NET) ,JavaScript, API interaction (REST/JSON/XML).
Must Have:
- Understanding of PLM usage, Mechanical Engineering domain, Problem Solving.
