Job Description:

You will have to Support the employees in the I-9 completion and ensure it is accurate and handled in a timely and compliant manner. Use Form I-9 to verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. All U.S. employers must properly complete the Form I-9 for everyone they hire for employment in the United States. This includes citizens and noncitizens. Both employees and employers (or authorized representatives of the employer) must complete the form. On the form, an employee must attest to his or her employment authorization. The employee must also present his or her employer with acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorization. The employer must examine the employment eligibility and identity document(s) an employee presents to determine whether the document(s) reasonably appear to be genuine and to relate to the employee and record the document information on the Form I-9.


Roles and responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual meetings with the employees and their Authorized agents and validate their original documents
  • Ensure the Form I-9 has been completed correctly based on Federal USCIS guidelines, handled in a timely and compliant manner
  • Coordinate with new hires to retrieve I-9 supporting documentation, verify the authenticity, and confirm they fall within the list of acceptable documents
  • Responsible to have I-9s completed within the first day of employment and/or however indicated within the USCIS guidelines
  • Follow up and closeout I-9s that may need further verification (SSA TNC, DHS TNC, human error, etc.)
  • Help maintain and audit I-9s to ensure 100% completion for all new hires and reverifications
  • Provide support to People Operations team initiatives and share ideas/solutions to improve processes
  • Providing outstanding customer service.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of information.
  • Performing other duties as the need arise.
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with customers by using positive language and anticipating their needs
