Notice preceding Consent

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023, the following Notice is provided to you before seeking your consent for the collection and processing of your personal Data.

1. Identity of the Data Fiduciary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited (“TCS” or “we” or “us”), have its registered office at 9th Floor, Nirmal Building, Nariman Point, Mumbai, Maharashtra, 400021.

2. Categories Of Personal Data & Purpose of Processing

TCS will process Your personal data for the purpose of Your child’s registration, subscription, and participation in the Team SDG Universe- digital learning platform. Any creative submissions made by Your child in What’s your Story (WYS) segment will be subject to evaluation for publishing in Newsletters /Magazines in Digital or Physical format, Social media or Print media to promote, brand and market Team SDG Universe as set out in this declaration. Selected “What’s Your Story” entries will be published together with the child’s name and SDG registration number and will be widely circulated to support the promotion of Team SDG Universe.

To fulfill those purposes, TCS might process following categories of personal data, which you will provide to us:

3. Processing Of Children’s Personal Data TCS does not process personal data of children (age below 18 years) without obtaining verifiable consent of the parent or lawful guardians.

In cases where services are offered to children, TCS ensures:

No Tracking / behavioral monitoring of children’s activities.
No Targeted advertising directed at children
No Processing that may cause harm to a child’s well-being.

Team SDG Universe is a Nation Building Initiative and hence subscription footprint will be aggregated to understand the demographics spread of participants.

TCS will evaluate the stories that children create in What’s Your Story (WYS) segment and may use them for promoting the product by publishing them in relevant Digital- Physical Newsletters /magazines, social media or Print Media in line with our branding guidelines.

TCS reserves the right to reject or discard WYS comics created with objectionable content as a part of this evaluation process.

4. Your Rights as Data Principal

1. Right to Access information about Personal Data: You have the right to request access information about the Personal Data We hold about You, for which You had earlier consented to processing or had provided voluntarily for the specified purpose. This includes the right to obtain information about how Your Personal Data is being processes, held, the purposes of the processing and the list of data fiduciaries and data processors

2. Right to Correction and Erasure of Personal Data: You have the right to request correction or updation of any inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data We hold about You and for which You had earlier consented to processing or had provided voluntarily for the specified purpose. You also have the right to request the deletion of Your Personal Data when You no longer want the data to be stored, or it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it is collected and stored. Upon such request, We shall erase Your Personal Data unless the retention is required for specified purpose or for being in compliance with any law.

3. Right of Grievance redressal : You have the right to have readily available means of grievance redressal provided by Us, regarding the performance of Our obligations in relation to Your Personal Data or the exercise of Your rights. If You are dissatisfied with Our response, or if We do not respond within the prescribed timelines, You may escalate the matter by filing a complaint through the dedicated online portal of the Data Protection Board.

4. Right to nominate: You have the right to nominate a nominee for any unanticipated events like death or inability such as unsoundness of mind or infirmity of the body of the Data.

5. Withdrawal of Consent

Providing Consent is voluntary
You may withdraw Your consent for specific processing at any time by contacting Us at edgameshub.support@tcs.com.
The withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Once We have received notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your information for the purpose or purposes you originally agreed to, unless we have another legal basis under the DPDPA for doing so.

6. Data Retention

TCS will retain your data till 5 years and will erase your personal data in secured manner, if you do not exercise your rights in relation to such processing.

8. Data Protection Regulatory Authority

In case you are not satisfied with the response to your grievance, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India (DPBI) as per the provisions of the DPDPA.
