Hiring process and eligibility
Eligibility Criteria
- 2 to 4 years of full-time IT work experience.
- A full-time Graduate or Postgraduate Degree* recognized by AICTE or UGC. *These degrees must be obtained from a university campus (not study centres) and should not be through open universities, distance education, part-time, or correspondence programmes.
Applicants must have hands-on experience in one or more of the following technology stacks: Java, Embedded C, C++, SQL, .NET, Python, AngularJS, ReactJS, Node.js, Automation Testing with Selenium, Informatica ETL, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Web Development (HTML/CSS3)
Assessment Format
- Stage 1:
This is a 60‑minute, virtual, remote‑proctored, self‑paced assessment that can be taken from any location. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email ID. The assessment link will be sent to your registered email ID within 4 days of registration. You must complete the assessment within 48 hours of receiving the link. Results will be shared after 48 hours of assessment completion. - Stage 2:
Candidates who qualify in Stage 1 will receive an invite for a 75-minute online assessment at a TCS iON Test Center(In Person). Stage 2 is a 75-minutes test that will assess the candidates with their technical knowledge, hands on programming and cognitive skills. Assessments will be conducted in batches, and all Stage 1 qualified candidates will be scheduled with prior intimation. Results for this stage will also be shared within 48 hours. - Final Discussion:
Candidates who clear Stage 2 will be invited for a quick in-person discussion at a TCS office/TCS iON Test Centre. This discussion will be scheduled within 48 hours of the Stage 2 results.
It is mandatory to create your profile on the TCS iBegin Portal and obtain an EP Reference ID before registering for this recruitment process.

- It is mandatory to create your profile on the TCS iBegin Portal and obtain an EP Reference ID before registering for this recruitment process.
- With your EP Reference ID, you can then proceed to register on the TCS iON Portal.

- Create a valid EP Number by registering on the TCS iBegin Portal.
- Complete the online TCS application form.
- Upload the following documents:
- Latest resume
- PAN card
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Keep your original government-issued ID available for verification during the interview.

- Last three months' salary slips from current or last organization (as applicable)

- No. It is mandatory for candidates who qualify for Stages 2 and 3 to attend the process in person at a TCS iON Test Centre or a TCS Office.
- Yes. When you register for the process, you will be able to specify your preferred technology area on which you would like to be assessed in Stage 2.
- Yes. If your work experience is below 2 years, please check the TCS NQT page and register if you meet the eligibility criteria.
- If your work experience is above 4 years, please explore opportunities relevant to your profile on the TCS iBegin Portal.
- Once you receive an offer, you may select a tentative Date of Joining (DOJ). Your selected date must be within 120 days (approximately 4 months) from the date of the offer.
- Your DOJ will be confirmed based on your current organization’s relieving date and Background Check (BGC) closure timelines. You will receive further communication from the TCS onboarding team.
