Course Overview:
The AI-Powered Cloud and DevOps programme equips learners with the skills to design, automate, optimize, and monitor cloud-native applications using AI-driven insights, enabling faster, smarter, and more reliable software delivery. The pedagogy is 80% hands-on, where learners work on real-world use cases, application-oriented assignments, and capstone projects. This approach helps them develop a deeper understanding of the concepts and the practical implementation of Cloud and DevOps topics.

Certificate Eligibility Criteria

Learners will be awarded a co-branded digital certificate upon successful completion of the programme.

  • Certificate of Completion (CoC): Participants who successfully meet the evaluation criteria of > 50% marks or above in overall score, which includes the required live lecture attendance of 20%, Quiz 30%, Modular Assignments 30% and Capstone Project 20%, then a CoC will be awarded.
  • Certificate of Participation (CoP): Participants who are unable to meet the evaluation criteria and score < 50% marks, then a CoP will be awarded.
  • There will be 8 quizzes. The quiz is MCQ-based without any negative marking. Each quiz will be conducted after completion of every module.
  • There will be 8 Modular Assignments. Each Modular Assignments are conducted at the end of every module.

This is a one-of-a-kind programme that brings together best-in-class experts from IITM Pravartak and TCS iON. It combines practical learning (hands-on and experiential learning) with theoretical learning (live lectures). The AI-Powered Cloud and DevOps Programme focuses on equipping learners with the skills to design, automate, optimize, and monitor cloud-native applications using AI-driven insights, enabling faster, smarter, and more reliable software delivery. If a learner misses a live lecture, he/she will be provided access (under the Live Lecture learning component) to view the recorded version of the session within a specified time frame. Learning content will be accessible until the end of the programme, with an additional one-month buffer after completion.
Learners will need the following infrastructure to access the learning platform:
a. Device: A standard desktop/laptop with a camera and microphone, with at least 8 GB RAM, and a standard SSD/HDD, running the latest version of Windows, Ubuntu, or RHEL OS
b. Internet: A regular broadband/Wi-Fi connection or a minimum 4G/5G mobile connection
Cloud Infrastructure: Students must create their own AWS account. This is required for hands-on activities related to Amazon SageMaker
Learners can connect with group members at an appointed time for group work outside the live classes. They can also use the platform 24x7 to engage and learn from peers using the digital discussion rooms available as part of the programme.
The programme duration is four months (16 weeks), including hands-on and doubt-clearing sessions. There will be two sessions per week, and each session will be of 90 minutes. Live lectures are planned every Wednesday and Saturday in the evening from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
All participants must meet the passing criteria across live session attendance, quizzes, assignments, and capstone project to obtain a Certificate of Completion.

Students are required to create an AWS account for hands-on learning. The software tools used are mostly open-source/freeware. Students are required to configure the software on their personal machines/cloud environments. Installation and configuration guidelines will be provided.
