Dr. Padmalochan Bera

Dr. Padmalochan Bera is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Electrical and Computer Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar), India.

Dr. Bera has completed PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. Prior to joining IIT Bhubaneswar, Dr. Bera worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA, a Researcher at General Motors and a Senior Research Scientist at Infosys Labs.

Dr. Sateesh Peddoju

Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Roorkee

Dr. Sateesh K. Peddoju is an Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. He is a Senior Member of ACM and IEEE, and a recipient of the Cloud Ambassador Award from AWS Educate, IBM SUR Award, Microsoft Educate Award, university merit scholarship, best teacher award in his previous employment, best paper/presentation awards, and travel grants.

He has publications in reputed journals like IEEE TIFS, IEEE Access, IEEE Potentials, MTAP, WPC, IJIS, and PPNA, and conferences like ACM MobiCom, IEEE TrustCom, IEEE MASS, ACM/IEEE ICDCN, and ISC. He is the co-author of the book “Security and Storage Issues in the Cloud Environment” and co-editor of the book “Cloud Computing Systems and Applications in Healthcare”.

His research interests include Cloud Computing (Cloud, Edge, and Fog), Ubiquitous Computing (Mobile, Pervasive, and IoT), and Security (Network, Cloud, IoT, Mobile, and Blockchain).

Dr. Rajkumar Buyya

Professor, Engineering and IT, University of Melbourne

Dr. Rajkumar Buyya is a Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor and Director of the Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems (CLOUDS) Laboratory at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

He also serves as the founding CEO of Manjrasoft, a spin-off company of the University, commercialising its innovations in Cloud Computing. He has served as a Future Fellow of the Australian Research Council during 2012-2016.

He has authored over 625 publications and seven textbooks including "Mastering Cloud Computing". Microsoft Academic Search Index ranked Dr. Buyya as #1 author in the world (2005-2016) for both field rating and citations evaluations in the area of Distributed and Parallel Computing.

Dr. Manoranhan Satpathy

Professor, School of Electrical and Computer Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar

Dr. Manoranjan Satpathy is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar. He has completed his education in Computer Science from IISc Bangalore, IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay. He has earlier taught at IIT Guwahati, University of Reading and IIT Kharagpur.

He has also worked as a Staff Researcher at General Motors R&D, Bangalore. He is a recipient of Discovery Project Award from General Motors Global R&D. His research interests are Modeling and Verification of Software Systems, Formal Methods and Artificial Intelligence. Of late he is working with AI in Agriculture and AI in Medicine.

Dr. Satendra Kumar

Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Patna

Dr. Satendra Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna. Prior to this, he served as an Assistant Professor at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala.

Dr. Kumar earned his PhD from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2021. He received his M.Tech (Gold Medal) and B.Tech (First Class Honors) degrees from the National Institute of Technology, Raipur in 2014 and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow in 2012, respectively.

His research interests include Wireless Networks, Game Theory, Network Economics, Mechanism Design, and Machine Learning.

Dr. Pragati Shrivastava

Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bhubaneswar

Dr. Pragati Shrivastava, a PhD from IIT Hyderabad, specialises in Software-Defined Networks, Programmable Data Plane, and Network Security, complemented by an M.Tech from IIITM Gwalior.

Her achievements include the BITS Pilani OPERA Award, ACM MobiCom Student Scholarships, ITNAC Student Travel Award, and more. In 2015, she was selected for the SAKURA Exchange Program in Science at the University of Tokyo, Japan.

Dr. Soumya K Ghosh

Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur

Dr. Soumya K Ghosh is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. His primary areas of research include Geospatial Databases and Services, Cloud Computing and Security.

Prior to IIT Kharagpur, Dr. Ghosh worked for Indian Space Research Organization in the area of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems for Natural Resource Management. He did his PhD and M.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Kharagpur, and BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Durgapur.

Dr. Shreya Ghosh

Assistant Professor, School of Electrical and Computer Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar

Dr. Shreya Ghosh is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Electrical Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar. Before joining IIT Bhubaneswar, she was a postdoctoral scholar at Pennsylvania State University.

Her research interests are in the areas of misinformation detection on social media using linguistic cues and network structure, and Spatiotemporal Data Analytics (night-time light data and trajectory transfer learning).

Her interests also include applying Artificial Intelligence to analyse and understand wildlife mobility and human-wildlife conflict, and Applied Data Science and application-oriented research with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Spatial Informatics. She has completed her PhD and MS from IIT Kharagpur and B.Tech from IIEST Shibpur.

Dr. Ramesh S.

Senior Technical Fellow, General Motors

Dr. Ramesh is Senior Technical Fellow and Thrust Area Lead for Model-based Embedded Software at General Motors. He has extensive experience in the areas of formal specification, verification and design of concurrent and reactive languages.

He has completed his BE degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in 1981, and his PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai in 1987. He was a post-doctoral fellow at Technical University Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Dr. Ramesh had been a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Mumbai and headed the Centre for Formal Design and Verification of Software there. He has also been a visiting Researcher at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai.

His collaborative research with Gerard Berry's group at Inria, Sophia Antipolis, France, led to the development of a language for describing distributed controllers called Communicating Reactive Processes (CRP).

Dr. Debi Prasanna Sahoo

Assistant Professor, School of Electrical and Computer Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar

Dr. Debi Prasanna Sahoo is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Electrical and Computer Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar. Before joining IIT Bhubaneswar, he was an Assistant Professor at IIT Roorkee.

He has also worked with AMD as a MTS Design Engineer. His research interests are in the areas of performance modeling, formal verification of hardware circuits, ML assisted simulation methodology, Computer Architecture, High Performance Computing and Data Centre Architecture, Internet of Things and Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML), and Micro-architecture Verification.

He completed his PhD from IIT Kharagpur, M.Tech from IIT Madras and B.Tech from College of Engineering and Technology Bhubaneswar.

Dr. Ram Prasad Padhy

Assistant Professor, School of Electrical and Computer Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar

Dr. Ram Prasad Padhy is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Electrical Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar. Prior to joining IIT Bhubaneswar, he was an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT DM Kancheepuram.

He has five years of cumulative industrial research experience with Samsung Research Institute, Delhi and Siemens Technology and Services Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore.

His research interests are in the areas of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Robotic Vision, Multi Sensor Fusion, Multimodal Perception and Visual Surveillance. He received both his B.Tech and PhD degrees from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela.

Dr. Devashree Tripathy

Assistant Professor, School of Electrical and Computer Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar

Dr. Devashree Tripathy is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Electrical Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar. Her research spans in Computer Architecture, Machine Learning (ML), Hardware/Software codesign of AI systems, Energy-efficient computing, Sustainable AI, Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML), and Systems for Healthcare, Drones, Autonomous Cars and Robotics, Mobile and Edge Computing.

Her current research focuses on ML for Systems and Systems for ML. Prior to joining IIT Bhubaneswar, Dr. Tripathy was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computer Science at Harvard University in Harvard Architecture, Circuits, and Compilers Group. She is currently working as an Associate with Harvard University. She graduated from University of California, Riverside with PhD in Computer Science.

She has published in top-tier venues including ISCA, MICRO, ICS, ISLPED, ACM Transactions on Architecture and Code Optimization, ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems, Engineering with Computers (SPRINGER), Journal of Network and Computer Applications (ELSEVIER) and many more, demonstrating her expertise.

Debashis Roy

Domain Consultant, Tata Consultancy Services (Industry Expert)

Debashis Roy has completed ME in Software Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He works as a Domain Consultant and Subject Matter Expert at Tata Consultancy Services. He has been working with Higher Education and Corporate Learning programmes for 18+ years, providing end-to-end learning solutions to domestic and international corporate customers.

Currently, he conducts live sessions for various online certificate programmes conducted in association with different INI's like IIT Dhanbad, IIT Ropar, ISI Kolkata among others.

He works as a Subject Matter Expert and Technical Lead, focusing on the demonstration and implementation of advanced conceptual aspects of different tech domains like Data Engineering, Data Science, Cloud Computing and Architecture, Artificial Intelligence and GenAI along with MLOps, DataOps, Cybersecurity, IoT and more.

His role provides him the opportunity to engage in creating hands-on environments for leveraging distributed applications and pipelines.
