About TCS iON Industry Honour Course (IHC)

TCS iON Industry Honour Course is a set of courses which are aimed at building industry-relevant specialised skills and are delivered over academic semesters, enabling learners to become experienced freshers. Institutions can integrate these courses with their existing academic programme to create a unique course in the industry-relevant domain or technology and offer it to their learners.

Learners from the 3rd semester to the final semester of all courses can apply for this programme.
  1. Click on the link provided in the official webpage of the University - https://www.tcsion.com/hub/he/gondwana-university-online-course/?utm_source=gug.
  2. Once the TCS iON landing page opens, click on the Login/Register button on the top right corner.
  3. New Users have to click on the 'Register' button.
  4. Fill the details as required on the 'Register' link and submit.
  5. Login by entering Email ID and Password.
  6. Once the TCS iON webpage opens, users needs to check the product they want to buy and click on the 'Buy Now' button. A product registration form will open.
  7. Fill in the required details and proceed to make the payment.
  8. To check the status of purchased courses, click on My Dashboard -> My Products.
  9. Click on 'View Product Details' to start the TCS iON programmes/course learning.
This certificate programme is envisaged to help build a strong foundation across various streams through digital lectures, hands-on implementation, assignments, quizzes and industry use cases. Learners will also get an opportunity to showcase their skills to potential recruiters.
This programme is designed to continuously make academic content more relevant to learners by integrating industry inputs, which is a compelling need of the industry.

The duration of this programme is 6 months, in sync with the universities'/institutions' semester.
TCS iON NPT is the platform on which learners will undertake the summative assessment.
The summative assessment is conducted in two parts:
  1. Test of knowledge is a MCQ-based assessment with an objective to evaluate student's conceptual clarity.
  2. Test of application is a scenario-based assessment with an objective to evaluate student's application knowledge.
TCS iON National Proficiency Test (TCS iON NPT) is a certification test that assesses a candidate's competencies and skills. Candidates who score more or equal to the passing score will get the TCS iON NPT Certificate along with their Scorecard (Please refer to the individual TCS iON NPT product pages for details on passing score). For candidates who score less than the passing score, only scores will be notified. The TCS iON NPT will be conducted every 2-4 weeks. Candidates can take the test again to improve their performance and get certified, if desired.
Note:
  • All tests will be conducted in English language only and there will be no negative marking.
  • Candidates who have appeared for TCS iON NPT earlier and were unable to qualify for the certification, can purchase the TCS iON NPT Variant(s) again and appear for the upcoming tests.
  • Candidates will be able to view/edit their details and add test(s) before the application closure date.
  • If a learner completes all the learning components/interventions, a Certificate of Participation will be awarded.
  • If a learner does not appear for the Summative Assessment, conducted through TCS iON NPT, certificate will not be awarded.
  • If the learner appears for TCS iON NPT, then one of the following scenarios will happen:
    • Learner scores <50% in TCS iON NPT, then only TCS iON NPT Scorecard will be issued
    • Learner scores between 50% - 75%, then TCS iON NPT Pro Certification and Scorecard will be issued
    • Learner scores >75%, then TCS iON NPT Expert Certification and Scorecard will be issued
    • In this model, there is no weightage applicable for formative assessments, class attendance and others
  • If a learner does not complete all the learning components and does not appear for TCS iON NPT, then no certificate or scorecard will be issued to the learner.
The learners can appear for the summative assessment only once.
The learner can appear for the re-exam by paying the pre-defined exam registration fee.
Once an institution subscribes to the TCS iON Industry Honour Course, no refund will be issued under any circumstances.
Learners have to post their course and project-related queries in the discussion forum, and the faculty will answer the queries in blogs/posts.

Yes, the academic institution or university will need to sign a contract to avail this programme.
TCS iON National Qualifier Test (TCS iON NQT) is an Ability Test that assesses a candidate's competencies and skills. Each candidate who completes the TCS iON National Qualifier Test (TCS iON NQT) gets a TCS iON NQT Score. The TCS iON NQT - Cognitive Score is applicable for all industries and job roles. The TCS iON National Qualifier Test (TCS iON NQT) is planned to be conducted every 2-4 weeks and can only be taken at TCS iON Authorised Exam Centres. Candidates can take the tests again to improve their previous scores, if desired.

  • Candidates who have appeared for TCS iON NQT earlier and would like to improve their TCS iON NQT Score, can purchase TCS iON NQT Variant(s) and appear for it in the upcoming tests.
  • Candidates will be able to view/edit their details and add test(s) on/before the application closure date.
  1. Community Moderation is a facility to leverage the learner's access to experts who are mentors of the community and learn from their experience.
  2. Learners can gain conceptual clarity and applied knowledge through community blogs, quizzes, tips/tricks and more.
The query response time is 24 business hours. There will be dedicated time slots for doubt resolution, which will be published as events in the discussion forum.
You will be able to view, reply, comment, and rate queries, blogs and responses in the discussion forum.
  1. Once the learner subscribes and activates the course, he/she will have access to course.
  2. The course component access will be available for one year from the batch start date.
The assessment can be taken after completing all the course modules. Learners will have one month to complete the assessment.
The MCQ of Part A and scenario-based questions for Part B covering the entire course syllabus will be enabled for the learners to answer and complete the assessment.
  • Remote Internship opportunities will be offered to learners who have completed their industry assignments, subject to vacancies and the corporate hiring policy.
  • Learners who have successfully completed their pre-final year will gain visibility to job opportunities from corporates who acknowledge
