Career counselling is increasingly seen as having a huge significance in a student’s life. Today’s youth are more keen to carve out their own paths rather than following the traditional routes of their predecessors. Technological innovations on a daily basis are making way for new career paths to emerge. The VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world of today is throwing up immense opportunities and challenges, and there is a strong chance of students/professionals getting confused in making the right academic or career decisions.

A career counsellor with the appropriate counselling through analysis, an understanding of the student’s world and using relevant diagnostic tools can play a major role in helping a student take the right decision. 1. What is the application process for the programme? +

Candidates must apply on OR before the application closure date.
Verification of candidate details will be done by TCS iON.
If the application is approved, candidates will receive an approval notification via email.
In case the application gets rejected; candidates will not be able to enrol for the programme.
If there is any information missing in the application form, candidates would be asked to edit/fill the application form with missed out information and resubmit.
Approved candidates can pay the fees by clicking the 'Buy Now' button on the product page to activate the course.
If candidates are sponsored by an institution, they will receive an Activation Code from the institution/TCS iON to activate the product. They can activate the product by clicking the 'Activate Code' button on the global header.
The learning programme will be added to learner's dashboard subject to successful payment and activation.

2. Who should be joining this programme? +

Psychology Graduates, Practising Psychologists, Counsellors aspiring to become Career Counsellors are eligible to join the learning programme. Psychology graduates and career counsellors will have an advantage.

3. What will be the teaching-learning method for this programme? +

This programme is envisaged to help build a strong hold across Career Counselling and Guidance through online reading material, recorded videos and reference material created by academic and industry practitioners.

4. What will be the scope of this programme? +

After completion of this programme, learners will be able to start their career as career counsellors with any company providing career counselling services and can also get empanelled with TCS iON as a Career Counsellor, subject to clearing TCS iON empanelment requirements.

5. How am I assessed and what is the process for re-examination? +

The programme contains topic-level knowlege checks and end-of-module assessments to check your understanding of the concepts covered. However, these assessments are NOT graded.
At the end of the programme, there will be a Summative Assessment.
Learners need to secure minimum 80% marks to pass the summative assessment.

Note:

Learners will get two attempts to clear the final exam. An exam fee will be applicable for the second attempt.
If the learner is not able to clear the exam in the second attempt, he/she will have to purchase the programme again.

6. What is the criteria to obtain a certificate? +

Learners need to secure minimum 80% marks to pass and obtain certificate of completion.

7. How will this programme make me job ready? +

This programme is designed in consultation with our academic and industry SMEs to ensure that the skills and competencies covered are relevant and makes the learner job ready.
On successful completion of the programme, the learner will get an opportunity to become a TCS iON-empanelled Career Counsellor, subject to clearing TCS iON empanelment requirements.
