About this Course
This course helps you to understand intellectual disabilities in order to meet the learning needs of trainees with intellectual disabilities. You will learn how to make reasonable adjustments to your delivery, learning environment and, resources to enable people with intellectual disabilities to access learning successfully.
This interactive course consists of self-paced learning modules, videos, exercises and quizzes to test your knowledge, and some reference reading material. There is a final assessment at the end of the course. On successfully completing the course and the assessment a certificate is generated, which you can download and print for future use.
On completion of the course, you will understand intellectual disabilities and its associated barriers to learning. You will also learn about the impacts and strategies to be used while teaching learners with Down Syndrome, Autism and, Specific Learning Disorders.
