About Science of Reading

• The Science of Reading provides strong evidence-based guidance for teaching reading skills.

• This course will assist teachers in understanding the importance of teaching phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension explicitly and systematically. This course will also help educators to use evidence-based instructional practices to help students develop critical reading skills.
