Course Summary

The Embedded Systems Design using 32-bit ARM Microcontrollers course introduces students to advanced register architecture and communication peripherals required for the latest industrial, automotive and IoT applications. Examples of assembly languages and C language-based designs for peripherals will be used in this course to illustrate the usage of interconnected network applications. Real-time control using instances of interrupts, Real Time Operating System (RTOS) and multiprocessors will also be covered to showcase the advantages of this platform. Programming examples for analog-to-digital conversion, timer programming, interrupt, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) will be used to illustrate the connectivity family. Nuvoton and NXP families and the libraries available for Cortex hands-on controller programming will also be introduced in this course.
