School of Law
Undergraduate Degree:
  • Admission to a 5 year integrated undergraduate degree at School of Law, JLU Bhopal requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with a minimum of 60% or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or any of the State Boards.
  • Admission will be on the basis of CLAT/LSAT score card and a Personal Interview.
  • For students who have not appeared for the CLAT/LSAT examination, a separate University entrance exam shall be conducted.
  • Students will be required to either clear the CLAT/LSAT exam or the University entrance exam followed by a Personal Interview round. However, a separate University form will have to be submitted.
  • Admission to the 3 year undergraduate LLB degree at the School of Law, JLU Bhopal requires an undergraduate degree in any other discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent recognized by UGC.
  • Admission will be on the basis of graduate merit, performance in the University Entrance Exam and Personal Interview.

  • Postgraduate Degree:
  • Admission to a postgraduate degree at the School of Law, JLU Bhopal requires an undergraduate degree in Law from an institute affiliated to a university or any university recognized by UGC/BCI, with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent.
  • Admission will be on the basis of CLAT score card and a Personal Interview.
  • For students who have not appeared for the CLAT examination, a separate University entrance exam shall be conducted. Students will be required to either clear the CLAT exam or the University entrance exam followed by a Personal Interview round. However, a separate University form will have to be submitted.
  • Candidates appearing for their relevant eligibility examination are also eligible to apply for admission. Their admission will be subject to their qualifying the exam with the required marks.
  • School of Media and Communication:
    Undergraduate Degree:
  • Admission to an undergraduate BA Journalism and Mass Communication, BFA and B.Design degree at JLU Bhopal requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with a minimum of 50% or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or State board.
  • Candidates appearing for their HSC examination (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply for admission. Admission will be subject to their qualifying the University Entrance Exam and Personal Interview conducted by the University Admission Panel.
  • The selection of candidates will be made based on their academic merit and performance in the Entrance exam & Personal Interview round.
  • Admission to an undergraduate BA (Hons) Media degree at JLU Bhopal requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with a minimum of 50% or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or State board.
  • Candidates appearing for their HSC examination (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply for admission. Admission will be subject to their qualifying the Personal Interview conducted by the University Admission Panel.
  • Postgraduate Degree:
  • Admission to a postgraduate degree at JLU Bhopal requires a minimum of 50% in an undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from an institute affiliated to a university or any university recognized by UGC.
  • Candidates in the final year of their respective undergraduate programme are also eligible to apply for admission. Their admission will be subject to their qualifying the exam with the required marks.
  • Applicants for the PG courses will have to appear for an Entrance exam conducted by the University and Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • The selection of candidates will be made based on their academic merit and performance in the Entrance Exam and PI round.
  • School of Engineering & Technology
    Undergraduate Degree:
  • Admission to an undergraduate degree at JLU Bhopal requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with Physics, Maths and Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or State board. Candidates appearing for their HSC examination (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply for admission.
  • Admission will be subject to their qualifying the Personal Interview conducted by the University Admission Panel.
  • Postgraduate Degree:
  • Requires a BE/ B.Tech in CSE/IT (Information Technology) with minimum 50% marks with or without GATE as per AICTE norms.
  • Admission for the Bachelor of Computer Application degree requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with Physics, Maths and Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or State board.
  • Candidates appearing for their HSC examination (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply for admission. Their admission will be subject to their qualifying the exam with the required marks.
  • Jagran Lakecity Business School
    Undergraduate Degree:
  • Admission to an undergraduate degree at Jagran Lakecity Business School, requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with a minimum of 60% or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or State board.

  • B.Ed: Admission to B.Ed degree at JLU Bhopal requires a Bachelors Degree and / or a Postgraduate Degree with a minimum of 50% in Science / Social Sciences / Humanities, BE/B.Tech with minimum 55% or an equivalent qualification from an institute affiliated to a university or any university recognized by UGC.
  • Candidates in the final year of their respective undergraduate programme are also eligible to apply for admission. Their admission will be subject to their qualifying the exam with the required marks.
  • Centre of Excellence in CSR
    Admission to the MA Corporate Social Responsibility Degree requires:
    a) A Bachelor’s Degree of a minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years of formal education) from a recognised university, in any discipline - with a minimum of 45% in aggregate. Essential for all candidates.
    b) Practicing professionals in the corporate sector who are actively engaged in the developmental and social responsibility activities of the institutions that are sponsoring them. The candidature of these individuals will be determined by the organizations.
    c) Desirable Qualifications Exposure to social work projects, experience of short term courses on social interventions and effective communication skills.

    APPLICATIONS
    • It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the information that you would provide to the University is true and accurate.
    • If it is discovered that your application contains material inaccuracies or fraudulent information, or that significant information has been omitted from your application form, the University may withdraw or amend your Offer, or terminate your registration at the University, according to the circumstances, without liability to you.
    • The Offer the University makes to you may be conditional or unconditional. If your Offer is conditional, the University will set out the conditions which you will need to fulfil in order to be admitted onto your chosen programme.
    • If you have not fulfilled the conditions of your Offer before the date notified to you in your Offer or any other date notified to you, the University reserves the right to withdraw your Offer.
    • You may be required, at the request of the University, to provide satisfactory evidence of your qualifications before admission. Failure to provide such evidence to the University's reasonable satisfaction may result in the termination of your Offer, the revocation of your registration as a student of the University and the termination of the enrolment. You will not be entitled to a refund of any paid deposit in accordance with the University's Tuition Fee Policy.
    CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT
    • Your admission to the University, attendance on a programme, and right to enjoy any of the privileges of membership of the University, including access to services and facilities, is subjected to you complying with the terms of the University and registering with the University.
    • You must use all efforts to fulfil all the academic requirements of your programme in accordance with the terms of the University Guidelines, including submission of programme work and other assignments, attendance at examinations and attendance at lectures, seminars and any other such teaching sessions provided by the University.
    • If you do not act in accordance with the University regulations, or any of the documents referred to in it, the University may take disciplinary action against you under the University's Disciplinary Procedure.
    • By accepting an Offer you are confirming that you have no unspent criminal convictions (excluding motoring offences) that you have not previously declared through the application process. If this is not the case you must notify the University via admission@jlu.edu.in prior to enrolment so that the University can consider whether such convictions are compatible with enrolment with the University and, in particular, with a place on your programme.
    • If you commit an offence whilst you are an enrolled student, this will need to be declared to registrar@jlu.edu.in as it may affect your place at University.
    FEES AND PAYMENT
      • As a prospective student you should be aware that you yourself are responsible for meeting your fees and any additional financial requirements related to your studies. You should begin to make the necessary financial arrangements now if you have not already done so.
      • If a student does not pay full composite fees in accordance with University regulations and such fees remain outstanding beyond the terms allowed for payment, the University reserves the right to suspend the student's registration and to prevent registration for any other programme of study. For these purposes suspension shall entail the withdrawal of all educational services from the University.
      • In cases where any such debts remain unresolved the student will not receive her/his academic award until such time as the debts have been fully discharged by or on behalf of the student.
      • By accepting an Offer you are confirming that you accept your responsibility to ensure your programme fees are paid in accordance with the published Tuition Fee Policy deadlines notified to students from time to time. You also agree to be bound by the University's regulations on the payment of fees, refunds in the event of withdrawal from your studies and the consequences of non-payment, as amended from time to time. These are set out in the Tuition Fee Policy.
      • In the event that your programme fees have not been paid in full by their due date, the University shall be entitled, but not bound to, refuse to permit you to continue on your programme of study and terminate the enrolment (without incurring any liability to you).
      • In addition to your programme fees, you may incur additional expenditure such as (but not limited to) fieldwork (whether optional or compulsory), specialist materials, visit fees, examination retake fees, reassessment fees, additional module/certification fees, application fees, PhD re-submission fees and fines charged to the student in accordance with the Student Charter; and you shall have primary responsibility for payment.
      • The provision of a facility or service including accommodation may be subject to an additional charge (i.e. separate from programme fees). Where this is the case, we will make this clear in advance and payment for such service shall be made in accordance with any additional hostel rules and regulations specified by the University.
      • The University may pursue legal proceedings against you/or respective legal/local guardian if you are in debt to the University. In addition, if you are in debt to the University (whether for tuition or other fees) you will be recorded as a debtor of the University in any references requested from the University.

      DELIVERY OF ADVERTISED PROGRAMMES AND SERVICES
      The University will use reasonable endeavours’ to deliver programme in accordance with the descriptions set out in the Offer Letter. However:
      • Due to the period between prospectus publication and registration, circumstances may change due to factors beyond the University's reasonable control and therefore it may sometimes be necessary to vary the terms or content of the programme or services described in the prospectus.
      • The University will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that changes are kept to a minimum, but if we are required to make any significant changes to the terms of the Offer or your programme (as described in your Offer and/or prospectus) before you register at the University, the University shall bring these to your attention as soon as possible and if you reasonably believe that the proposed change will prejudicially affect you, you may either cancel the Offer of admission and withdraw from the programme without any liability to the University for programme fees or transfer to such other programme (if any) as may be offered by the University for which you are qualified;
      • If there are not sufficient enrolments to make a programme or module viable, the University may be forced to cancel the programme or module.
      • If you have received an Offer for a programme which the University discontinues prior to you registering at the University, the University will notify you as soon as possible and will use reasonable endeavours to provide a suitable replacement programme for which you are qualified.
      • If you are unhappy with the replacement programme provided by the University or if the University is unable to provide a suitable replacement programme, you may cancel the Offer of admission and withdraw from the programme without any liability for programme fees;
      CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
      • The applicability of the University terms and regulations will commence from the date on which you accept your Offer of Admission. You have the right to cancel this Offer of Admission specifying the reason for cancellation of admission in specified format.
      • The cancellation period and your right to cancel the admission without liability will expire 14 days prior to the commencement of the academic session you have applied for.
      • To exercise your right to cancel, you may inform Admissions Office, Jagran Lakecity University in the specified format of your decision to cancel the Admission Offer.
      • If you cancel your admission in accordance with the above, the University will reimburse to you the payments received from you. The University will make the reimbursement in accordance with the timeline mentioned below. Reimbursement will be made by cheque in the name of the student, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise;
      Norms for Refund of Fees : In Cases where Cancellation of Admission has been requested:
      If the request received on or before the 5th of July of respective academic year.
      INR. 1000/- will be deducted towards Processing Fees and balance amount paid by student shall be refunded by 15th October of the respective academic year.
      Request received after 5th of July of respective academic year.
      No fee refund. INR. 1000/- will be deducted towards Processing Fees and balance amount from the caution money will be refunded by 15th February of the following academic year.
      • A candidate who desires to leave the University after joining the program will have to submit a 'NO DUES' certificate issued by the competent authorities and signed by Head - Admissions. This should be accompanied by the application for withdrawal and the original fee receipt. The original certificates will be returned only on production of 'NO DUES' certificate in the prescribed form, obtained from the Administrative Office. No with-drawl of admission will be processed without completion of ‘NO DUES’ formalities
      GENERAL
      These terms and conditions represent only part of the University's regulations. You should ensure that you read the University's general and other student rules & regulations book, as amended from time to time, which can be accessed by the following the notifications made on the University website: www.jlu.edu.in
      While every effort is made to contain costs and achieve economies, JLU specifically reserves the right to increase tuition or other fees without prior notice. The University and School further reserve the right to advance the requirements regarding admission, to change the arrangement of courses, the requirements for graduation or degrees and other regulations affecting the student body. Such regulations may govern current and new students and will be effective whenever determined by the particular school involved or by general University directive. It is the responsibility of the student to keep well-informed with respect to the regulations and requirements in the Handbook as well as separate policies and procedures established by other University Offices which may affect the student.
      The admission offer letter is made on the assumption that student have provided the University with all relevant information required to be considered fully and fairly. Should it subsequently come to light that the student withheld or misrepresented any material information, made any false statements during the application and selection process, or is unable to provide full documentary evidence of his/her qualifications when he/she start the programme, the University reserves the right to revoke his/her admission or registration and enrolment as a student.
      The courts in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in relation to the Admission offer and/or enrolment with the University and that in any such proceedings these terms and conditions and the regulations into which they are incorporated will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
