Instructions for completing and sending the applicationThe candidate seeking admission to the CTET is required:- ii) To satisfy eligibility to appear in the examination; iii) To send the application on the prescribed Application Form complete in all respect or submit it on-line; iv) To write complete mailing address with Postal Pin Code in the Application Form in the capital letters only; v) To fill in the Application Form in own handwriting in CAPITAL LETTERS in English only, using blue/black ball point pen, within the prescribed boxes. Use blue/black ball point for darkening the appropriate circle(s) also. vi) OVERWRITING, CUTTINGS, ERASINGS IN THE APPLICATION FORM AND INCOMPLETE FORM MAY LEAD TO REJECTION OF FORM AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED. ANY ERROR ARISING ON THIS ACCOUNT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CANDIDATE. vii) If a candidate submits more than one Application Form, his/her candidature shall be liable to be cancelled and the candidate debarred for future examination(s). Note : For Sl. Nos. 4 to 15 of the Application Form : Write appropriate Code and darken the appropriate circle as applicable. Language I : Shall focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instructions. Candidate is required to select any one from above Languages. Language II : Shall focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehensive abilities. Candidate is required to select any one from above Language. Language II has to be different from Language I. Question Paper shall be supplied in English or Hindi as per choice of the candidate. Provide 1 for English Provide 2 for Hindi

Note: (i) Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc./Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/ Differently abled Candidates. (ii) For this year only, with BA/B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and B.Ed qualification shall also be eligible for test for classes I to V provided he/she undergoes, after appointment, an NCTE recognized 6-month special program in Elementary Education. Provide appropriate Code if you intent to apply for becoming teacher for classes VI to VIII
* A diploma/degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered. Note: Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc./Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/ Differently abled Candidates. Note : None of the above shall not be eligible for appearing in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (l) Sl. Nos. 15 of the Application Form: Status of Qualifying Exam Provide 1 if Qualifying Exam passed and 2 if Appearing in Final Exam. (n) Sl. Nos. 16 of the Application Form: Left Hand Thumb Impression The candidate should affix left hand thumb impression failing which the application form will be cancelled. (o) Sl. Nos. 17 of the Application Form: STD Code with Telephone No./ Mobile No. Provide STD Code & Telephone No. or Mobile Telephone No. (p) Sl. Nos. 18 of the Application Form: Candidate's mailing address in CAPITAL letters only Write your name and complete mailing address in CAPITAL letters including PIN CODE at which you wish to receive the communication. (q) Candidate should sign in running hand within the box only and should affix unattested recent photograph within the space provided in the Application Form. The Application Form duly filled in should be sent by Registered/Speed Post only (NOT BY COURIER) to THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY (CTET), CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, SHIKSHA SADAN, 17, ROUSE AVENUE, NEW DELHI-110002 in the printed envelope supplied by the Board so as to reach positively by 15.05.2011 in the CBSE office. The Application Form will not be received personally in any case.
Note : 7 days grace time i.e. up to 22.05.2011 for receipt of Application Form will be allowed to the candidates belonging to remote areas viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi sub division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep.
